| AUSTRALIAN MAID v INTRIGUE (Race 4) |
| Facts Found 10 seconds before the start of Race 4, AUSTRALIAN MAID, close hauled, was on the lay line to the Race Committee boat at the starboard end. INTRIGUE sailing slightly free was windward of her with FRANGIPPANI GIRL, close hauled and two boat widths to leeward. AUSTRALIAN MAID claimed that she had to bear away to avoid INTRIGUE. INTRIGUE slowed down by luffing her sails and broke the overlap. INTRIGUE thereafter continued to sail astern of AUSTRALIAN MAID. |
