| MILLENIUM v LAWANA (Race 4) |
| Facts Found NOTE: Protests 7 & 8 were heard together as they both referred to the same incident. 1. HEARING 6: MILLENIUM v BIG A MILLENIUM claimed that BIG A bore down on her 10 seconds before the start causing her to bear away to avoid a collision. 2. HEARING 7: MILLENIUM v LAWANA MILLENIUM claimed that LAWANA approached the start line on a beam reach and bore down on BIG A who was windward of MILLENIUM, forcing both BIG A and MILLENIUM to bear away to avoid collision. FACT: MILLENIUM displayed the protest flag 2 minutes after the incident. |

| Conclusion The Jury found that MILLENIUM did not display the Protest flag at the first reasonable opportunity (RRS 61.1a). The protest is therefore invalid. |
