Established in 1987 to celebrate His Majesty the King of Thailand's 60th birthday, the Phuket King's Cup Regatta has grown to become the biggest keelboat regatta in Asia (by boat numbers), with over 100 plus boats and 2,000 plus participants. The regatta was the winner at the 2006 and 2007 Christofle Asia Boating Awards for 'Best Yachting Event of the Year'.
The regatta is considered to be the jewel in the crown of the Asian Yachting Circuit.
The Organising Committee aims to continue the development of the King’s Cup by working together with the event’s sponsors throughout the year, to ensure that each year, we hold a bigger and better regatta which delivers the best sailing, the best organisation, the best parties and the best media coverage throughout the entire week.
